Your typical BankID usage is authentication and signing on websites. In some cases you may also be requested to sign the content of a document. In all these cases the BankID Security Application automatically opens a window on the screen which tells you what to do.

 

Carefully read the content of the window and if everything is OK, continue with your identification or signature. Check very carefully that the website presented in the window is the website you are actually visiting and that the text you are signing conforms to what you intend to do, for example, transfer a certain amount of money to another account or similar.
